Selena Gomez Takes the Stage, Explains Hospitalization

Bouncing back from a recent hospitalization, Selena Gomez took the stage for her rescheduled visit to Santa Monica Place on Monday afternoon (June 13).

The 18-year-old was on-hand for a fan event during which she performed "Who Says" and "A Year Without Rain" while also talking to the frenzied crowd as she happily stated, "I want to thank you so much for coming. If you guys came on Friday, I'm so sorry that I couldn't be here. ... I love you guys very much. I do feel better!"

During her Santa Monica appearance, Gomez was asked for details surrounding her trip to the hospital this past Thursday night, to which she replied, "I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted."

The outing comes as Selena is readying for the June 28th release of her new album "When the Sun Goes Down" and July 1st opening of her new movie "Monte Carlo".

Jennifer Lopez: "So You Think You Can Dance" Finale!

Spending time overseas for a handful of live performances, Jennifer Lopez spent Saturday night (June 11) taking the stage on BBC1's "So You Think You Can Dance" live finale.

The 41-year-old star was clad in a sexy, sparkly catsuit as she performed her song "On The Floor" during the show in which tap dancer Matt Flint was crowned the big winner.

Following Miss Lopez's sultry stage effort, the show's host Cat Deeley had nothing but praise for the singer/actress, as she simply said, "The one and only Jennifer Lopez!"

Following the "So You Think You Can Dance" gig, Jennifer shuffled back and forth between her hotel and Wembley Stadium for a soundcheck ahead of her performance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball on Sunday (June 12).

Tweeting her excitement over the high profile UK appearance, J. Lo wrote, "Hey!!!! @capitalofficial looking forward to getting on your stage on tomorrow for the #SummertimeBall!!" She later added, "“Rehearsing for tomorrow! Will I see you? Where are you sitting?"

Ke$ha Gets Swarmed at ABC Studios

Shooting to stardom in the music world, Ke$ha was spotted arriving to the ABC studios in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon (January 13).

Quickly surrounded by fans as she hopped out of her ride, the pop princess happily posed for a few pictures before heading inside for her sitdown with Jimmy Fallon.

The press outing comes just as Ke$ha was able to draw an end to Susan Boyle's six-week reign on the U.S. pop album chart by taking over the top spot.

Making for quite the impressive debut, the 22-year-old has two tracks on the Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, with "TiK ToK" lplacing first while her second single "Blah Blah Blah" debuted at #7.

John Stamos: Extortion Drama

 
Caught in a sticky situation, John Stamos announced Tuesday that he was being blackmailed for $680,000 by a man and woman threatening to sell pictures to tabloids that the actor says are just pictures of him “posing with fans.”

The extortionists were arrested last week in an undercover plan where the FBI posed as the Full House star’s representative for a money drop that took place in Michigan’s airport.

"John Stamos was the target of an extortion attempt," says Matt Polk, a rep for the actor. "The U.S. Attorney and the FBI handled the investigation swiftly and with great expertise."

FBI raided the home of Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30, of Marquette, Michigan, finding a few photos of Stamos, paper with Stamos’s cell phone number on it, and three tabloid magazines with contact information.

Stamos vacationed back in 2004 in Florida, where he met Coss and attended a party where the photos took place.

It is not certain if the pictures were from during or after Stamos and Rebecca Romijn split. Stamos and Coss stayed in contact with each other for a long time until Stamos began receiving email threats last month from “Brian L” who wanted the money or he would turn them into tabloids. Since then the case is still pending and suspects have been posted bond.

Rihanna Celebrates Rated R Release

She’s been on the promotional trail non-stop as of late, and last night (December 3) Rihanna held her record release party to celebrate Rated R.

The “Russian Roulette” songstress arrived at M2 nightclub in New York City looking fit and fine in a black and silver dress with black heels and black sunglasses.

Earlier in the evening, Ri-Ri treated her fans to a killer concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom, singing her way through an extensive set list of hits.

Fans began lining up for the free MySpace-sponsored show at 7am, and though Rihanna was 20 minutes late taking the stage, it was well worth the wait.

Shakira Rocks Paris

 

Taking her Latin-flavored pop music to Paris, France, Shakira was spotted giving a killer concert at the Bercy Arena last night (November 29).

The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress looked amazing as she performed as part of the Starfloor Fun Radio Concert in the City of Lights.

Earlier in the weekend, Shakira received her official residency to the Republic of Chile from President Michelle Bachelet.

Shakira has been working non-stop to promote her new album “She Wolf” that hit stores and online retailers on November 23rd.

Rihanna’s Dazzling Cruise Ship Performance

 


Prior to flying into LAX Airport this morning, Rihanna was busy breaking in the stage on a brand new cruise liner in Ft Lauderdale, Florida on Thursday night (November 19).

Looking fabulous in a bright yellow ensemble, the Barbadian beauty performed at the first ever concert on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas cruise ship.

Meanwhile, Rihanna recently chatted with Atlanta’s Q100 about rumors of a budding romance with Tristan Wilds – which she shot down.

"This is funny: I had a house party, and you know how you hold house parties and people come over you don't even know," she says. "He came by, brought his friends, and everyone was hanging out, but I don't even have his number. So I don't know how I could be dating him."

Rihanna: Chillin' with Alexa Chung

 


The "Disturbia" damsel looked playfully sexy in a black-and-red hooded sweatshirt with ankle boots, striking a few poses as she headed past paparazzi.

During the day's visit with "It's On with Alexa Chung," Rihanna explained that she recently went into detail about her assault at the hands of Chris Brown "to give insight to people who have been through what I have. [The fan response has been] insane, and for a little statistic there's the domestic violence hotline, and the calls have been up 59 percent. It's also helping save lives."

As for her new "Russian Roulette" single and upcoming Rated R alum, the Barbadian beauty tells, "Well, actually Ne-Yo gave me the first song we did on the album. It's called 'Stupid in Love' [which we worked on early on], and 'Russian Roulette' came at the end. ... And the song was very dark, which matched the base of the album. I love that it was metaphorical."

Fergie: Smiling Through Stripper Scandal

 


Not letting the marital infidelity rumors slow her down, Fergie was spotted making her way around London, England on Sunday (November 8).

The Black Eyed Peas singer was first spotted stepping out of The Metropolitan Hotel as she headed to the BBC Switch Live event held at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Later in the day, the 34-year-old headed over to X Factor's Wembley studios, managing to maintain a bright smile in spite of the recent cheating scandal surrounding her husband Josh Duhamel and an Atlanta stripper.

Keeping quite the busy schedule, Fergie and her bandmates spent the previous evening making an appearance on the German TV show “Wetten Dass...?” at Volkswagen Hall in Braunschweig.

Rihanna Jets Out of JFK

 


Following a performance at Z100’s Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden last night, Rihanna and Chris Brown were spotted traveling out of JFK Airport together, yet separately on Saturday morning (December 13).

Dropped off side-by-side at the entrance, the 20-year-old Barbadian beauty opted to walk in by herself as her "With You" singing beau held back to thwart paparazzi hopes of getting shots of the R&B superstar couple.

The duo were headed down south to Ft Lauderdale, where they're slated to perform at BankAtlantic Center.

Also performing as part of a star-studded bill featuring mini 12-20 minute sets are Katy Perry, Jesse McCartney and the Veronicas, among others.

Madonna: Mommy in Malawi

 


Continuing her humanitarian efforts, Madonna was spotted at the groundbreaking ceremony for her Raising Malawi Academy for Girls today (October 29).

The Material girl was joined by her children Lourdes, Mercy, and David as she visited the Mphandu la Orphanage outside Lilongwe, posing for pictures along the way.

And it sounds like Madge got quite an upgrade earlier this week when one of the orphans she has helped declared her to be a god.

The young girl exclaimed, “You are our god. Where could we have been without you?” A witness reported that Madonna “seemed cool with” the compliment. Perhaps she’s more divine than we knew!
