Miley Cryus' Stalker Gets Reprieve

In a case that's gotten its fair share of attention, a preliminary hearing has been postponed until next week in regards to Mark McLeod - who is accused of the attempted stalking of Disney star Miley Cyrus.

Currently jailed on $55,200 bond, McLeod made a brief appearance in front of a Tybee Island judge on Tuesday (August 18), after which time his attorney briefly spoke with press.

According to AP reports, attorney James Byrne said that "McLeod has been dealing with the deaths of his mother and brother in the past year and a half, as well as losing his job as an assistant plumber."

While worried about Miley's safety, the 53-year-old defendant's lawyer also added that his client is "a human being" who might need help.
