Lady Gaga Opens the MMVAs, Wins Int'l Video of the Year

Offering up the show's kickoff performance, Lady Gaga launched the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards show off with a bang in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night (June 19).

The chart-topping singer was decked out in a black studded leather jumper while sporting a bright turquoise hairdo as she delved into her hit single "Edge of Glory".

Not only a performer during the annual north of the border musical showcase, Gaga happened to be named as one of the ceremony's early winners.

Doted with the trophy for International Video of the Year for "Judas," the 25-year-old told the packed audience, "Thank you, I'm so, so happy."

Noting that the video's co-director, Laurieann Gibson, hails from Canada, Lady Gaga added, "Always stick by what you believe in. Always stand by your vision. We did it!"
