Christina Aguilera & Maroon 5 Liven Up the 2011 AMAs


Making for quite the star-studded spectacle, the 2011 American Music Awards took place at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday night (November 20).

The annual musical showcase featured plenty of action, with the big winner of the ceremony being Taylor Swift - who picked up three trophies including Country Female Artist, Country Album and the grandest of all prizes Artist of the Year.

Other triumphant artists included Nicki Minaj with two trophies for Rap Hip Hop Artist and Rap Hip Hop Album for "Pink Friday" while Bruno Mars nabbed Pop/Rock Male honors and Hot Chelle Rae landed the title of Best New Artist.

Capping off quite the successful evening, Taylor Swift was the big winner at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (November 20).

With the show being held at Nokia Theatre LA Live, the "Mine" singer ended up being awarded with the annual event's top prize - Artist of the Year.

Being doted with multiple trophies during the AMAs, Swift also picked up honors for Female Country Artist and Country Album for her disc titled "Speak Now".

Making for quite the musical extravaganza, performers at the 2011 AMAs included the likes of Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj with David Guetta, Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera and a night-capping effort from LMFAO.

Livening things up the moment they stepped onstage, Christina Aguilera joined Maroon 5 for a performance at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday night (November 20).

Bringing the Nokia Theatre LA Live crowd to their feet, the "Bionic" beauty powerfully belted out "Moves Like Jagger" alongside Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Michael Madden, James Valentine and Matt Flynn.

The appearance comes as Miss Aguilera and Mr Levine are gearing up for another season as judges on the hit NBC competition show "The Voice".

Having immediately proved to be a hit during its Stateside debut earlier this year, the second go-round is set to premiere on February 5, 2012.
