Lamar Odom Talks Trade, Facing Off Against Kris Humphries
Speaking out for the first time since news broke of his trade from the L.A. Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks, Lamar Odom is addressing all areas of his life including what it will be like facing off against ex brother-in-law Kris Humphries.
Of his sudden move to the Mavs, the hubby of Khloe Kardashian told Dan Patrick, "It's a good thing, it's a good thing. I'm looking forward to it."
As for what pushed him to make the change, Lamar said he knew his time with the Lakers was up, explaining, "That's when I figured out that it could happen at any given time, they were gonna trade me this year no matter what. They were trying to make the best business move for themselves, which wasn't in my best interest, so I had to take control of the situation and land in a place…like Dallas, like Mark Cuban, and a team like the Mavericks, it was my first choice."
While the basketball pro calls the transition "emotional," he says he looks forward to helping Dallas try to defend their championship.
Additionally, Lamar touched on what it will be like when he takes the court against his old teammates, saying, "It'll be weird, man…I gotta go out there and have a job to do."
However, the E! reality star says his match-up with Humphries could cause even more discomfort, jokingly adding, "That might be a little more awkward than going to L.A."
