One of the most popular acts of the evening, Chris Brown brought his A-game at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (August 28).

Decked out in a white formal suit, the 22-year-old showed off his stellar dance moves while kicking things off with "Yeah 3X" before transitioning into Wu-Tang Clan's classic tune "Protect Ya Neck".

Next up, Brown pulled an unexpected turn while dancing to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" before closing out his efforts with his latest tune "Beautiful People".

During the finale, Chris treated the Nokia Theatre audience to a dazzling display in which he was pulled in the air by invisible wires before landing on another stage to close out with a not-to-be-missed running man routine.

Offering up a very first look at the much-awaited movie, a preview from "The Hunger Games" made its debut at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28).

With the clip being introduced by leading lady Jennifer Lawrence, the footage shows her Katniss character racing through a forest backdrop while shooting an arrow that transforms into the film's signature logo.

Also starring Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks, "The Hunger Games" tells the story of "a young girl who volunteers to take her sister's place in a fight to the death in a dystopian future."

Directed by Gary Ross, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on March 23, 2012.

A last minute addition to the impressive lineup of artists taking the stage, Jay-Z and Kanye West teamed up at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

The hip-hop powerhouse pair thrilled the audience at Nokia Theatre LA Live as they offered up a red, white and blue rendition of their hit single "Otis."

Showing no signs of rumored tension, Jay and Kanye were both in the highest of spirits while looking directly at one another as they offered up the first single from their collaborative album "Watch the Throne".

Making the night extra special, the performance came shortly after the "99 Problems" rapper's wife, Beyonce, joyously announced that she's carrying their first child.

One of the most popular singers in the entertainment world, Adele showed why she's receiving so much love during her night at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 28).

The British singer was dressed in black as she swiveled around the stage while belting out her piano ballad "Someone Like You" from her hit album "21".

Prior to taking the stage, Adele took time to meet with pop star Britney Spears during the black carpet pre-show thanks to arrival hostess Selena Gomez.

Voicing her respect for the 23-year-old just ahead of the introduction, Miss Spears adoringly said, "I'm really interested in seeing Adele. I love her. I'm the biggest fan. I'm really excited about seeing [her]."

Fresh off of her exciting news that she's got a bun in the oven, Beyonce Knowles took the stage for a performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28).

Putting her gorgeous vocals on full display, the soon-to-be 30-year-old delved into her song "Love On Top" to the thrill of the Nokia Theatre LA Live audience.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Knowles broke the big news on the black carpet that she and husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child together.

Upon wrapping up her stage effort, Knowles joyously tossed down her mic before rubbing her belly as her "99 Problems" rapper hubby wildly applauded from his primo seat in the audience.

Keeping it cool as he made his arrival, Jared Leto hit the red carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28).

Known tor making his female fans swoon, the Hugo fragrance frontman didn't disappoint, looking handsome while joined by his bandmates Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevice at the Nokia Theatre LA Live venue.

With Jared on hand to present an award alongside actress Zoe Saldana, the outing comes as rumors continue to swirl over a possible breakup of 30 Seconds to Mars.

Adding to the speculation, Leto recently told Kerrang! he was "uncertain" of the group's future, as he explained, "A lot of artists peak or get burned out. A lot of times they stop trying and those are all dangers...It took two years to make 'This Is War.' Touring it has been another two years. Do I have that in me again? I don't know."

Showing that they’re still going strong, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted looking cozy on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 28).

The “Ramona & Beezus” babe was playing host for the pre-show festivities when her bigger-than-life-boyfriend showed up for an interview.

Bieber planted a sweet smooch on his ladyfriend and introduced his slithery reptilian pet to the world.

Justin shared, “I have my snake.” Selena asked, “What’s your snake’s name?” to which he replied, “My snake’s name is Johnson.”

When asked if he was pumped about his Best Male Video nod, Bieber gushed, "You know, I'm just excited to be in the category with such amazing people. I'm just happy to be here."

And as it turns out, Justin ended up taking home the MoonMan for Best Male Video for his clip “U Smile.”

Putting those pesky divorce rumors to rest once and for all, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted side-by-side while out in Malibu, CA on Wednesday (August 24).

With the paparazzi on them like glue, the happy couple grabbed brunch at Bob Morris' Beach Cafe before shopping at the Malibu Colony Company.

Rumors of a break up sparked when In Touch released a story full of silly details claiming that Jada and Marc Anthony (JLo’s ex) were sneaking around.

However, reps for both Anthony and Pinkett Smith deny that there’s any illicit romance between them, with her spokesperson telling press, “Everything about Jada and Marc Anthony is false.”

Treating fans to superstar surprise, Justin Bieber dropped by Taylor Swift's sold out Los Angeles show at Staples Center last night (August 23).

Quickly catching the audience's attention, the 21-year-old songstress asked, "Who wants to see m friend Justin?." That's when the "Never Say Never" crooner suddenly emerged onstage, inciting a full-blown frenzy as he and Taylor belted out a special duet of his hit "Baby."

Making good on his word, Justin hinted towards an appearance when he tweeted a message to the "Mean" singer recently, writing, “Heard you sang BABY at your concert in TO. thank u for the love… might have to come by and stop in on a show."

Noting the crazy excitement of the crowd, Swift took to her twitter to dish about Tuesday night's concert, as she wrote, “You think you’ve heard LOUD screaming in your life. Then @justinbieber comes out and does a surprise song during your show.”

Continuing along with their short and sweet honeymoon, Kim Kardashian joined new husband Kris Humphries for their first romantic dinner away from their hotel in Naples, Italy on Thursday night (August 25).

While the E! babe was dolled up in a lovely dress, her NBA player hubby chose to dress down in shorts and a baseball hat as the newlyweds ate the the famous Eolo restaurant in the downtown area.

Once finished with their delectable meals, the couple leisurely walked the city streets before catching a lift back to their luxury hotel.

Meanwhile, the European getaway will soon be drawing to an end - as Kim is set to head to New York to begin filming season two of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" while also scheduled to appear at Sunday night's (August 28) MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.

Planning to jet off for a much lengthier (and tropical) honeymoon at a future date, Kim told People magazine, “We want to take our big honeymoon later."

As they ready to debut season three of their hit show “Glee,” the cast can be seen in a brand sneak speak video titled, “Dodgeball.”

The main characters from the Emmy winning FOX comedy released the video last night (August 24) in anticipation of the September 20th premiere.

As always, the talented cast has viewers captivated with Sue Sylvester back to her old ways while “We Got the Beat” blares in the background.

Earlier in the week, the cast’s brand new music video for Fashion’s Night Out - which takes place on September 8th - was released.

Having been rumored to be an item since late June, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield offered a little confirmation to the claims during a rare non-work related sighting in Malibu, CA on Thursday night (August 25).

The "Amazing Spider-Man" co-stars kept their distance and made sure not to give awaiting photogs any PDA-filled shots as they exited Nobu restaurant following an evening sushi dinner date.

Word of the new off-screen romance was first reported by Us Weekly, as their source told at the time, "They got close during filming and have been hooking up. They haven't gone public, but he's told his friends."

The sighting comes just a day after comedic actor Jim Carrey posted a strange video on his TruLife website to declare his love for Miss Stone.

In the Carrey clip, the "Ace Ventura" star began by saying, “I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all the way beautiful. If I were a lot younger, I would marry you, and we would have chubby little freckle-faced kids.”

Carrey then confessed he’s too old for Stone, noting his wrinkled forehead, a bit of grey in his beard, and the fact that it “takes him a little longer to pee than it used to.”

She’s never been content to go with the status quo, and Lady Gaga definitely stood out from the crowd as she took the stage at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 28).

The 25-year-old made her grand entrance by opening up the Nokia Theatre show dressed in drag while delving into her hit single "You and I".

The Mother Monster brought the star-studded audience to its feet during her stage effort while also celebrating as "Born This Way" won the first-ever Moonman for Best Video With a Message.

Talking about the accolade with MTV, Gaga told, "I'm really proud of the 'Born This Way' video, and for it to be nominated is an absolute honor."
