Joined by his adorable little pug puppy Lolita, the “PS I Love You” hunk chatted on his mobile phone as he strolled along the sand.
The day before (August 27) Gerard was out and about with Lolita again, this time picking up some caffeinated creations at Starbucks coffeehouse.
And on Friday, Mr. Butler enlisted the help of two surfing instructors as he attempted to catch a wave in Malibu’s beautiful waters.
Keeping up on her regular workout regimen, Hilary Duff was spotted hitting the gym in Los Angeles, CA on Monday (August 29).
The “Beauty and the Briefcase” star and a gal pal looked ready to sweat as they headed inside the local exercise facility.
In other news, it's being reported that Miss Duff received a $100,000 payout after being dumped from the upcoming “Bonnie and Clyde” film when she announced her pregnancy earlier this month.
A clause in her “play-or-pay” contract apparently secured the money for Duff, as she’s already given press for the movie.
As the season opener of “Two and a Half Men” draws near, Jon Cryer opened about Charlie Sheen's character’s exit from the show.
The Alan Harper actor told Entertainment Weekly that Sheen’s character will not simply go away after his tragic death on the season premiere.
“The history of the show does not go away at all,” Cryer said. “It will be dealt with all through the first season. It’s not, ‘Oh, that character’s gone, let’s forget completely about him.’ There will be ramifications all through the season.”
As for Ashton Kutcher's new character, Jon told, “I can only say my character ends up being the more romantically experienced one of the two of them. So Alan becomes sort of a mentor character to Ashton’s character. And as bad as an idea as that sounds, it’s just as bad on the show — I’m a terrible mentor.”
After suffering through and recovering from a serious eating disorder, Demi Lovato strutted her stuff at last night's MTV VMAs, but sadly had to deal with some hurtful tweets regarding her weight.
The “Sonny with a Chance” star was being ridiculed by haters for gaining a couple of extra pounds - to which she responded, “I've gained weight. Get over it. That's what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER."
Awhile later, Ms Lovato deleted that tweet and replace it with, "Guess what, I'm healthy and happy, and if you're hating on my weight you obviously aren't."
Hopefully the negative comments weren't taken to heart, because Demi looked absolutely stunning!

As a followup to a story first reported by GossipCenter, the Miami Police Department has denied claims of discrimination made by Solange Knowles.
The singing sister of Beyonce took to Twitter in the wee hours of Sunday morning (August 28) while alleging to have had a weapon drawn on her for no reason - in which she mistakenly blamed the Miami PD instead of the Miami Beach officers responsible for the incident.
With more details coming forth, Miss Knowles is said to have been turned away from entering Club Cameo in Miami Beach due to the fact that she was holding a "giant banana" - though she became angry while feeling that the refusal of entrance was due to racial reasons.
Releasing a statement exclusively to GossipCenter on the matter, Delrish L. Moss of the Miami PD told, "Over the weekend, the lion’s share of the mainstream and entertainment media reported that the Miami Police Department had a confrontation with Solange Knowles, the sister of Beyonce Knowles of record and movie fame."
Moss added, "We have investigated and found that this incident DID NOT occur in our city. We have determined that Ms. Knowles was not in our city at the time of the alleged incident. That city has informed us that they are looking into the incident. This incident DID NOT involve the Miami Police Department in any way, shape, or form."
Meanwhile, Miami Beach Police are looking into the matter and currently trying to contact Solange in regards to her complaints.
