Ke$ha: Gearing Up for an "Absolutely Crazy" 2012

Following her much-talked-about appearance in Playboy, Lindsay Lohan took over another cover gig by gracing the front page of the January 2012 issue of Maxim Australia.

The "Mean Girls" starlet wasn't shy about showing skin as she swapped in and out of a variety of skimpy ensembles for the Matt Jones shot spread while dishing about everything from her personal life troubles to her girl crush on actress Michelle Rodriguez.

Highlights from Lindsay's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Maxim Australia!

On her personal life woes:
"I'm feeling strong. I've experienced a lot in my life, and my mom had given me a lot of faith. This too shall pass."

On women having power:
"I feel that women have such power with their bodies."

On whether she's a sexual person:
"I'm more sexual than my friends – more comfortable in my skin. I'm a sexual person, definitely."

On the solitude that comes with the job of an actress:
“Being an actress is lonely, and I never want to be alone. I hate sleeping alone.”

On her girl crush, Michelle Rodriguez:
“I love Michelle – she’s so talented and kick-arse!”

This past year is definitely one she’ll never forget, but now Ke$ha is excited about what’s to come in 2012.

As the “Animal” singer continues to work on her new album, she recently told MTV News, “I very much want to be seen as a strong woman, but I realize that vulnerability can also be a strength. So on my next record, you are going to hear probably a little more of that. I'm not going to make an acoustic, sad entire record.”

As for the progress of her record, she continued, "I've been writing but I haven't gone in with [producer Dr. Luke] yet. He's working on stuff and I'm working on stuff for it. But [to] actually start, we go into the studio in January, early January."

"I feel like I don't necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music," she declared. "That's the goal. We'll see what happens. That's a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that's my goal," the punk-rock pop star added.
