Zac Efron Talks Bungee Jumping on "The Tonight Show"

Hitting the talk show circuit for a promotional appearance, Zac Efron suited up as he dropped by NBC Studios in Burbank, CA on Thursday night (April 5). The 24-year-old was one of the celebrity guests included in the lineup on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," with the visit coming as Zac is kicking off press duties ahead of the April 20th release of his new drama "The Lucky One". Along with plugging his upcoming film, Efron was asked how he likes to spend the little bit of free time in which his hectic schedule permits. To this, he replied, "If I get a weekend off or something like that, something that I like to do is get out into the wilderness. I like to go backpacking and hiking." Continuing to tell a story of a recent expedition, the former "High School Musical" star dished, "Actually, a couple of weekends ago a couple of buddies of mine got together and we took like a five mile hike and we went to this place called the Bridge of Nowhere. And then we went bungee jumping." "Off the Bridge to Nowhere?" asked Leno, who obviously thought it didn't sound to be the safest activity. Sure enough, Zac answered, "Yeah, off the Bridge to Nowhere." "That just has death written all over it," Jay opined, with Efron then saying, "Yeah, they kind of messed themselves up with the title a little bit didn't they?" Nonetheless, the thrill-seeking star made it back in one piece and had a blast during the experience, as he told, "It was unreal! Bungee jumping is one of my favorite things to do in the world." As for Zac's new movie, "The Lucky One" opens in theaters on April 20th while telling the story of "a Marine who travels to North Carolina after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war."
