Charlie Sheen's 46th Birthday Dinner with the Ex

Fresh off of premiering her movie "Contagion" the previous night, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted as she stepped out in Venice, Italy on Sunday afternoon (September 4).

Casually clad in a loose white buttondown shirt, dark short-shorts and gladiator sandals, the 38-year-old was followed by a flashlight-wielding staffer as she loaded aboard a water taxi while later seen a bit more glammed up in a pink and black frock.

During the photocall and premiere of her new movie as part of the 68th Venice Film Festival, Miss Paltrow was asked what drew her to the role in the Steven Soderbergh directed film "Contagion".

Of the character - who contracts a nasty virus that ultimately leads to her demise - Gwyneth said, "I liked all that gory stuff. For the seizure scene, I had to bite on a little Alka-Seltzer and foam at the mouth. It was fun."

Then asked if the virus was "punishment" for being an unfaithful wife (her character has an affair in the film), Paltrow told, "If death by virus was a punishment for extra-marital affairs there would only be three dudes left in this world right now. Maybe less, because we're in Italy."

Bringing her glamour to the red carpet, Kate Bosworth took over the spotlight at the 37th Deauville Film Festival in Deauville, France on Sunday (September 4).

All prettied up in a cute white minidress, the 28-year-old actress worked the arrivals area before heading inside the nearby theater for a screening of her later picture, "Another Happy Day".

As for Miss Bosworth's new film, the Sam Levinson directed drama finds "a wedding at her parents' Annapolis estate hurl high-strung Lynn into the center of touchy family dynamics."

Also starring Ellen Barkin, Demi Moore, Thomas Haden Church and Ezra Miller, " Another Happy Day" is scheduled to hit theaters in the States on November 4, 2011.

Still spending time in beautiful northern Italy, Bar Refaeli was busy roaming the grounds of the 68th Venice International Film Festival on Saturday afternoon (September 3).

The Israeli supermodel looked darling as she made her way around town with a gal pal, with the ladies doing a bit of shopping before boarding a vessel to cruise the canal waterways stemming from the Adriatic Sea.

Prior to making the trip to Venice, Miss Refaeli recently designed a capsule collection for the very first time for French lingerie manufacturer Passionata.

Of the effort, the 26-year-old said, “I fall in love again and again anew in the lingerie Passionata. I love it! Thus was the idea of an exclusive line for this glamorous and playful brand - with the designing being very exciting. I wanted to give each model a piece of me to design a style that is similar to me, both casual and sexy."

Having a blast at the Venice Film Festival, Michael Fassbender was spotted at a photo call for “Shame” on Sunday (September 4).

The “Inglourious Basterds” actress was all smiles as he posed outside the Palazzo del Cinema while joined by producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman, screenwriter Abi Morgan and director Steve McQueen.

As for Michael's new movie, it is "a drama centered on 30-something Brandon, his myriad sexual escapades, and what happens when his wayward younger sister moves in with him."

Also starring "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" actress Carey Mulligan, "Shame" is currently only scheduled for release in the UK on January 13, 2012.

Taking his latest project to the annual film extravaganza, Al Pacino was front and center at a photocall for “Wilde Salome” earlier today (September 4).

The legendary actor was joined by actress Jessica Chastain as the pair took to the Palazzo del Cinema ahead of the movie's premiere scheduled to take place later in the evening.

With fellow co-star Kevin Anderson also on-hand, the film also includes Estelle Parsons and Roxanne Hart while having been written and directed by Pacino.

As for the plotline, "Wilde Salome" takes viewers on a journey as Al "unravels and re-interprets Oscar Wilde's once banned and most controversial work Salome, a scintillating tale of lust, greed and one woman's scorn."

Freshly returned from a concert in Nebraska, LeAnn Rimes happily joined alongside her two main men for an outing in Malibu, CA on Saturday (September 3).

The "I Need You" singer donned a lacy violet minidress as she picked up a pizza with husband Eddie Cibrian and his son Jake during the course of the afternoon excursion.

At one point, Jake ended up dropping a pair of toy handcuffs he was playing with while LeAnn gave full view of her thin frame as she bent over to help him pick them up.

Worn out from the busy west coast doings by day's end, Miss RImes tweeted to her many followers later the same night, "So ready for bed after 10 hrs of flying & a fun afternoon at our friend's house at the beach. Happy Saturday night!"

Turning into a family routine, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took their brood out for a cinema weekend excursion in London on Sunday (September 4).

The "Mr and Mrs Smith" co-star couple had the entire clan alongside for the theater visit, as Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox and Zahara shuffled out to the family ride after catching a showing of "The Smurfs".

The family movie outing comes after Us magazine reports that Angelina treated her little ones to a garden party at their rented abode in Richmond the previous day.

An inside dished of the festivities, "All of the kids were in the garden to play and she surprised them with a local group of children's entertainers."

Explaining further, the Us source told, "Think juggling, game organising, races, that type of thing. The kids laughed and screamed all day. They were exhausted by the time the troupe left!"

Taking his directorial effort to the annual Italian event, James Franco was front and center at a photocall for “Sal” earlier today (September 4).

The "128 Hours" actor was joined by actor Val Lauren as the pair took to the Palazzo del Cinema to pose for photographers covering the Venice Film Festival function.

While the photocall sessions typically precede the film's red carpet premieres, James did things out of order - as he debuted his movie the previous night.

As for "Sal," the picture "details Sal Mineo's rise to fame in such films as 1955's 'Rebel' and 1960's 'Exodus,' his conflicted sexuality and friendships with Dean and Natalie Wood, as well as his 1976 death in West Hollywood after being stabbed by a pizza deliveryman."

She certainly knows how to make an entrance, and Beyonce Knowles had all eyes on her at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 28).

The “Crazy in Love” songstress brought her fashion A-game as she posed inside the Nokia Theatre LA Live to prepare for her big performance, but the BIG news is the confirmation that she's expecting her first child with Jay-Z!

Having made their love for one another official on Saturday (August 27), Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars' wedding day pictures offer a glimpse of the newlyweds partaking in their cherishing moment.

The couple tied the knot at the historic Palazzo Margherita in Bernalda, Italy, with the "Lost In Translation" director looking stunning in a lavender Azzedine Alaia gown while being walked down the aisle by her famous father, Francis Ford Coppola.

As for the ceremony, it was officiated by Bernalda's mayor, Leonardo Chiruzzi, who told press after the festivities, "Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden."

Just one day prior to exchanging vows, Sofia and Thomas were all about relaxation - as they spent the afternoon lounging on the sandy Italian beaches with their darling daughters, Romy, 4½, and Cosima, 15 months.

Making the most of her time in Italy, Bar Refaeli was spotted sunning herself in a stunning blue bikini yesterday afternoon (August 28).

The Israeli supermodel pranced around the Kauris III luxury yacht off the coast of Portofino while eager paparazzi snapped up pictures.

Bar bathed in the sea and played volleyball along with some friends who had come along for the ride (and the view!).

During her Mediterranean tour, Ms. Refaeli has been keeping her Twitter followers up-to-date on her festivities, including “belly dancing in Greece or at least trying to.”

She's one of the many east coasters dealing with the effects of Hurricane Irene, and Bethenny Frankel seemingly let the major storm system get the best of her.

Unable to sleep through the nasty conditions, the Skinnygirl mogul began her Twitter tear at 3AM by writing, "I can't sleep. So nervous. The wind is so loud outside.what's the update?tv will wake everyone."

An hour later, Miss Frankel disregarded her sleeping husband and baby, as she continued, "I can't believe how scary this is.now watching the news with my jaw dropped.more&more evacuations&more state of emergencies. Brace yourselves NEW YORK.Irene is on her way now."

The "Bethenny Ever After" star's anxiety reached its peak at around 7:30AM, as she tweeted, "We just lost electricity.this b**ch is coming.jason is oblivious.3 naps yesterday, slept all night,no prep.hurricane bethenny also here."

In the following hours, Bethenny posted a series of photos including one of herself looking quite unkempt along with numerous shots from her home and neighborhood, with her latest message reading, "I wanted to wash&dry my hair yesterday &jason thought I was nuts.now the new hairstyle is hurricane bethenny.jen aniston is so jealous."

Along with Frankel, numerous fellow celebs were active on Twitter while sending well-wishes and personal experiences via Twitter. A few of the many postings are as follows:

Nick Jonas So much hype about #Irene will be interesting to see this all plays out. Everyone stay safe.

Kourtney Kardashian More powerful prayers for the east coast. Don't forget how powerful prayer can be!

Ringing in another year in his rollercoaster life, Charlie Sheen made his way to Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant in Encino, CA for a 46th birthday dinner on Saturday night (September 3).

The former "Two and a Half Men" star was alongside his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, as well as their twin boys Bob and Max, to celebrate his special day with friends and loved ones.

Following the evening meal, a smiling Sheen exited the eatery with son Bob in his arms - with his little one proudly holding a big red balloon with 'Happy Birthday' written on it.

Sounding as if fellow ex Denise Richards was also on-hand, Sheen tweeted after the birthday dinner, "Love you and the girls..!!! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!! Great night! xo c"

The message was in response to an earlier tweet by Miss Richards, as she wrote, "Happy Birthday @charliesheen !!!!!!!!!!!"
