Gwyneth Paltrow's Penchant for "Gory Stuff"

Getting back to into the swing of things after giving birth earlier this summer, Victoria Beckham was in mommy mode at The Grove in Los Angeles, California on Sunday afternoon (September 4).

The already-slim former Spice Girls singer toted baby Harper Seven snugly in her arms while sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz also joined in on the Labor Day Weekend family shopping spree.

The outing comes as family patriarch, David Beckham, is currently out of town as his LA Galaxy squad readies to take on the Sporting Kansas City team in Kansas City tomorrow (September 5) at 3PM.

Meanwhile, Posh took to her Twitter account yesterday to send well-wishes to fellow new mom and former bandmate, Melanie Brown, as she tweeted, "Congratulations to @OfficialMelB!! love, David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and baby Harper x VB"

Getting down to business in The Marvelous City, Hilary Duff was spotted leaving the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Sunday (September 4).

The expecting actress/singer/author donned a black maxi dress, black and gold studded belt ,and taupe suede boots as security guards escorted her to an awaiting Toyota Corolla transport.

Tweeting about the day's promotional plans, Miss Duff wrote, "Heading to the book fair biennal. Press for a few hours then going to sign books and meet some fans! It's all very exciting folks xxo H"

The 23-year-old arrived at the Riocentro Book Biennial a short while later, as planned, where she joyously launched her first novel titled "Elixir".

Getting quite the warm reception at the literature based event, Hilary tweeted upon finishing up her launch efforts, "Oh my goodness! Wow I am in shock! Thank you so much for all of this love! Rio fans are amazing, makes me want to cry!!! "

Landing herself another cover gig to coincide with her "Hart of Dixie" TV show's series premiere, Rachel Bilson graces the front page of the October 2011 issue of Women's Health.

The former "OC" star looks picture perfect in a curve-hugging blue frock while talking with the magazine about her hourglass figure, as well as favorite topics including food and fashion.

Inside the publication, Miss Bilson's interview is accompanied with a fabulous photo spread with one shot showing the 30-year-old clad in an ensemble consisting of a Roseanna cardigan, LNA clothing tank, Mavi Jeans shorts, Vale Jewelry necklace, Hollywood Trading Company belt, Tateossian leather bracelet and Chan Luu bracelet.

For those looking to duplicate Rachel's fashion choices, another one of her Women's Health outfits finds the style-savvy beauty opting for a Nanushka top, C&C California tank, Mavi Jeans shorts, a W Hotels Global Glam hat and Jennifer Fisher brass bangles.

As for her upcoming CW series, Rachel co-stars alongside Jaime King with the season kicking off on Monday, September 26th at 9/8c.

Taking center stage during its cinematic debut, “Wilde Salome” was one of the featured films at the 68th annual Venice Film Festival on Sunday evening (September 4).

Legendary actor Al Pacino was accompanied to his movie's premiere by new lady Lucila Sola, with the picture's leading lady Jessica Chastain also on-hand at the Palazzo del Cinema venue.

Along with premiering his latest project, Pacino was brought onstage prior to showtime to be presented an award as part of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory To The Filmmaker Award Ceremony.

Having written, directed and starred in the cinematic offering, the 71-year-old's "Wilde Salome" takes viewers on a journey as "Al unravels and re-interprets Oscar Wilde's once banned and most controversial work Salome, a scintillating tale of lust, greed and one woman's scorn."

A mainstay atop the movie world over the past month, "The Help" once again snatched up the top spot at the box office during Labor Day weekend of September 2-5, 2011.

The Emma Stone starring book-based picture, which has been perched atop the movie money-making list for the fourth straight week, pulled in $3.6 million on Friday and $5.4 million on Saturday while pacing towards a four-day weekend total of approximately $18 million.

One of the newcomers to theaters across the States, the Helen Mirren fronted film "The Debt" followed a ways behind as runner-up with a $2.6 million opening day and $3.8 million second day - which set the John Madden directed offering up for a debut weekend take of $12 million. Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are two more newcomers in "Apollo 18" ($11 million) and "Shark Night 3D" ($11 million), followed by fifth place finisher, the James Franco led action flick "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" ($10 million).

In what's been a travel-intense past month, Miranda Kerr has fully immersed herself in post-baby work duties in Mexico City over the past few days.

Earlier this weekend, the Victoria's Secret beauty - who welcomed her first child Flynn into the world in January - looked hot to trot as she shot an ad spot for Fashion Fest de Liverpool.

During the filming, Miss Kerr wore a classy buttondown jacket with skintight black pants as she hopped into a sporty red convertible alongside an accompanying male model.

The commercial efforts came just after Miranda returned to the runway - as she strutted her stuff on Thursday (September 1) during the Liverpool Fashion Fest Autumn/Winter 2011 show before hitting up the afterparty at Liverpool Polanco.

The south-of-the-border visit comes after the 28-year-old spent time in her native Australia and New Zealand, as she and husband Orlando Bloom went house hunting for a temporary pad to stay in while Bloom shoots his upcoming movie "The Hobbit".

It's been quite the past year, as Beyonce Knowles dropped her fourth studio album "4" while also having just recently announced that she's expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z.

And the superstar singer just so happens to be ringing in her 30th birthday today (September 4) while currently spending time out of public view with her rapper hubby in Venice, Italy.

Keeping true to her word, Miss Knowles - who revealed the baby news at the MTV VMAs late last month - previously said on 'Piers Morgan Tonight,' "I always said I would have a baby at 30."

As for the pregnancy details, an insider told Radar Online, “Beyonce is about three months along and is due in February. She and Jay are absolutely over-joyed...her whole family is really excited.”

With a big happy birthday in order, the source added of the couple, “Of course having a little boy for Julez [sister Solange's son] to play with would be ideal, so they have their fingers crossed."

Earning herself a little extra cash in Sin City, Audrina Patridge played hostess during a Labor Day weekend bash in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night (September 3).

The brunette beauty shimmied down the entrance to the Vanity Nightclub at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in a white dress with silver fringes while striking a few poses before joining in on the celebratory affair.

Tweeting to her followers prior to party kickoff, Audrina wrote, "At the hard rock... Vanity tonight!! Time for some dancing! Xoxo"

The appearance comes as Miss Patridge recently opened up about a touchy subject - as she revealed that she has a problem with her chest bone affecting the appearance of her bosoms.

Asked if she's ever had breast enhancement surgery, the 26-year-old told The Daily, "I don't like to talk about that. Well, see I have this chest problem. My bone right here, it's higher on this side? It's pectoralis something. So I've always struggled with that. You could see they look different sizes all the time."

She added, "I always get asked about that because of Heidi and there's all these rumours and they all say I've had, like, six procedures, and I'm, like, 'Where do you get that?' Look at the pictures. I fluctuate in weight a lot. And as far as my face, I've never had anything done."

With the annual Venice Film Festival in full swing, the cast of “Contagion” hit the red carpet for their film's premiere at Palazzo de Cinema on Saturday night (September 3).

Joining in on the celebration were lovely actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as newly-bald actor Matt Damon (who was joined by wife Luciana Barroso), as well as fellow co-star Laurence Fishburne.

For the sci-fi thriller, Damon teamed back up with director Steven Soderbergh - who also directed him in the “Ocean's Eleven” movies starting back in 2001.

“Steven sent me the script with a note that said, ‘Read this and then go wash your hands,’” said Damon, with a laugh. “After seeing this movie in a theater filled with strangers, I’m sure that thought will definitely cross peoples’ minds.”

As for "Contagion," the picture - which hits theaters on September 9th - also stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet while being an "action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak."

Ringing in another year in his rollercoaster life, Charlie Sheen made his way to Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant in Encino, CA for a 46th birthday dinner on Saturday night (September 3).

The former "Two and a Half Men" star was alongside his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, as well as their twin boys Bob and Max, to celebrate his special day with friends and loved ones.

Following the evening meal, a smiling Sheen exited the eatery with son Bob in his arms - with his little one proudly holding a big red balloon with 'Happy Birthday' written on it.

Sounding as if fellow ex Denise Richards was also on-hand, Sheen tweeted after the birthday dinner, "Love you and the girls..!!! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!! Great night! xo c"

The message was in response to an earlier tweet by Miss Richards, as she wrote, "Happy Birthday @charliesheen !!!!!!!!!!!"

Teaming up for a sexy new ad campaign, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian used their good looks in hopes of selling a little more product.

The E! reality sisters tossed on a little lingerie as they posed for world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz for a Kardashian Kollection Sears promotional effort

The photoshoot took place back in May, with Kim writing about the experience on her blog by telling, "What an amazing day! We shot with the living legend herself, Annie Leibovitz! I swear this was such an eye opening day. She shot our Kardashian Kollection for Sears ad campaign!"

The newlywed brunette beauty added, "I can’t give away any details, but we have never been shot like this before and it was soooo fun shooting with Kourtney and Khloe… Mason even made a cameo!"

Meanwhile, Miss Leibovitz was seemingly so taken by the Kardashian sisters that she's hosting a party for the ladies at her New York City studio next week.

She's arguably the biggest pop star on the planet, and Britney Spears was nabbed as the cover girl of the October 2011 issue of Glamour UK.

The "Hold It Against Me" singer posed for a playful spread for the magazine while giving a rare interview in which she talks about her London tour and turning 30-years-old in December.

Set to hit newsstands on Thursday (September 8), highlights from Britney's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Glamour UK!

On the possibility of Prince William and Kate Middleton attending one of her concerts at O2 arena in London:

"That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. I think they’re a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful."

On hoping to get more intelligent as time progresses:

"I think the older you get, the wiser you get. I can’t wait. I’m really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular. I’m gonna be in South America so I’ll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney?’"

As the saying goes - she got it from her momma! Doing some bonding in their bikinis, Audrina Patridge and her mother Lynn were spotted at a Malibu, California beach on Wednesday (August 31).

Enjoying the sunny west coast locale, the pair sported matching teeny teal two pieces as they took to their midweek stroll along the shore with Audrina also tossing on a hot pink swimsuit during the morning romp.

Looking to have recovered from a nasty bee sting on her left foot incurred during a barefoot walk the day before, the fabulously fit mom and daughter duo were all smiles for the impending shutterbugs.

As for what is next on Audrina's agenda? She's heading to Sin City, as she revealed via Twitter, writing, Whose going to Vegas this weekend??!!!.... If so stop by vanity at the hard rock September 3rd!! Xo."

Fresh off of premiering her movie "Contagion" the previous night, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted as she stepped out in Venice, Italy on Sunday afternoon (September 4).

Casually clad in a loose white buttondown shirt, dark short-shorts and gladiator sandals, the 38-year-old was followed by a flashlight-wielding staffer as she loaded aboard a water taxi while later seen a bit more glammed up in a pink and black frock.

During the photocall and premiere of her new movie as part of the 68th Venice Film Festival, Miss Paltrow was asked what drew her to the role in the Steven Soderbergh directed film "Contagion".

Of the character - who contracts a nasty virus that ultimately leads to her demise - Gwyneth said, "I liked all that gory stuff. For the seizure scene, I had to bite on a little Alka-Seltzer and foam at the mouth. It was fun."

Then asked if the virus was "punishment" for being an unfaithful wife (her character has an affair in the film), Paltrow told, "If death by virus was a punishment for extra-marital affairs there would only be three dudes left in this world right now. Maybe less, because we're in Italy."
