The “I Am Sam” actress was spotted picking up some take-out food in New York City today (September 6) on her way to school.
Miss Fanning carried a snazzy umbrella and donned rain boots to deal with the nasty Manhattan weather.
In career news, Dakota has signed on to star in a new biopic called “Effie” about a young bride named Euphemia Gray who marries critic John Ruskin. But when Ruskin is unable to consummate the marriage after five years, Effie falls in love with a painter.
Having a blast on the holiday weekend, Lea Michele was spotted heading off to a friend’s house on Monday afternoon (September 5).
The 25-year-old babe shared her plans for the day via her official Twitter account, and it sounds like quite the agenda.

The “Breakfast Club” actor allegedly caused such a commotion at his condo complex that the police had to be called to arrest him.
Hall is accused of tearing up plants in the entry way of his building, and disturbing the peace. A neighbor called the cops after Hall threatened to beat him up for checking on the ruckus.
Anthony also allegedly knocked on the neighbor’s door and demanded that he come out and fight him before the cops got there.

With the annual Venice Film Festival in full swing, the cast of “Contagion” hit the red carpet for their film's premiere at Palazzo de Cinema on Saturday night (September 3).
Joining in on the celebration were lovely actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as newly-bald actor Matt Damon (who was joined by wife Luciana Barroso), as well as fellow co-star Laurence Fishburne.
For the sci-fi thriller, Damon teamed back up with director Steven Soderbergh - who also directed him in the “Ocean's Eleven” movies starting back in 2001.
“Steven sent me the script with a note that said, ‘Read this and then go wash your hands,’” said Damon, with a laugh. “After seeing this movie in a theater filled with strangers, I’m sure that thought will definitely cross peoples’ minds.”
As for "Contagion," the picture - which hits theaters on September 9th - also stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet while being an "action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak."
Ringing in another year in his rollercoaster life, Charlie Sheen made his way to Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant in Encino, CA for a 46th birthday dinner on Saturday night (September 3).
The former "Two and a Half Men" star was alongside his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, as well as their twin boys Bob and Max, to celebrate his special day with friends and loved ones.
Following the evening meal, a smiling Sheen exited the eatery with son Bob in his arms - with his little one proudly holding a big red balloon with 'Happy Birthday' written on it.

Who thought this day would ever come?! Regis Philbin will be hosting his last episode of “Live! With Regis and Kelly” on November 18.
At the beginning of the year, the 80-year-old TV personality announced his decision to retire from the morning show, but a date was not known until now.
Philbin has been hosting the daily show since 1988 when he and Kathie Lee Gifford helmed the program at the time it became nationally syndicated.
No word yet on who will replace Regis to co-host with current partner, Kelly Ripa.
