Leighton Meester's Season 5 Premiere Eve Shopping Spree

On what was a very special day for the family, Will Smith was out alongside daughter Willow at the local Barnes and Noble in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday (September 25).

The father/daughter duo lovingly held hands upon exiting the chain bookstore, with the special occasion happening to be the fact that Will was ringing in his 43rd birthday.

Meanwhile, a recent report from MTV tells that 10-year-old Willow is nearing completion of her much-awaited Roc Nation debut album.

The news stems from a Mixtape Daily interview with Ronald "Jukebox" Jackson, who said, "I did like eight, nine songs on Willow, so right now, we're in the process of just trying to close out the album. It's just the whole process. You got to think about it: She's a 10-year old girl. She's gotta have a life, she's gotta be a kid."

Continuing to describe what fans can expect, Jackson revealed, "Willow is kind of a combination of what 'Whip My Hair' was. Willow just isn't a pop star, she isn't just an urban artist; she's very international. A lot of her music has a very big influence of everything from rock to pop to hip-hop."

As for what he hopes for as far as the next song released by Miss Smith, Jukebox told, "Next single which I'm praying for is a record I did called 'Rock Star.' ... She's been performing it everywhere. It's getting very great reaction. We also did a record with Diggy Simmons that's incredible. ... She's just a combination of everything pretty much."

She's always up for a bout of retail therapy, and Leighton Meester did just that as she brought the weekend to a close in New York City on Sunday (September 25).

The Blair Waldorf babe was in quite the jovial mood as she laughed it up with her ladies after purchasing a bagful of items at Zadig & Voltaire in the West Village.

Meanwhile, fans of Miss Meester have just one day left until the Season 5 premiere of her hit show "Gossip Girl" returns to the CW tomorrow night (September 26) at 8/7c.

The debut episode is titled “Yes Than Zero" (see promo above), with a synopsis via the show's website reading: "Serena loves her new job in Hollywood, but makes a costly misstep when she tries to impress her boss (guest star Michael Michele). Chuck and Nate arrive in Los Angeles as the last stop of their Lost Summer trip, joining Serena at a glamorous Hollywood Hills party, where Nate meets a sexy older woman (guest star Elizabeth Hurley). Blair and Louis (guest star Hugo Becker) return from Monaco and begin planning their royal wedding, but when Louis refuses to stand up to his family and support Blair's choices, his weakness threatens their relationship. A magazine is planning to run an excerpt of Dan's book until an unlikely ally steps in to help him kill the story."
