Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez's Los Angeles Zoo Date!

Back on the red carpet for their film's west coast debut, Gerard Butler and Michelle Monaghan premiered "Machine Gun Preacher" in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday night (September 21).

Held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Scottish stud and his darling co-star charmed their way down the arrivals area with fellow stars on hand including "Avatar" actress Zoe Saldana, as well as Gary Safady, Victor Webster and Claire Coffee.

As for the movie, the Marc Foster directed picture tells "the story of Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who found God and became a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children who've been forced to become soldiers."

With Butler taking on both acting and producing roles, he had nothing but praise for his leading lady Miss Monaghan, as he recently told press, "Michelle is incredibly cool and incredibly fun. She is one of those girls who is as comfortable with the electricians, the key grip, the cameraman, anybody in the crew, catering as she is with her makeup crew or me or the director."

"We all get the same treatment, and fun and smart and self deprecating and then surprisingly irreverent. So, I was really blown away to get a girl who has that beauty and yet has so much more to give in terms of personality," 41-year-old Gerard added.

"Machine Gun Preacher" also stars Michael Shannon, Madeline Carroll and Kathy Baker while scheduled for a limited US release date set for September 23rd.

Taking a break from the chaotic world of superstardom, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez enjoyed an afternoon date at the Los Angeles Zoo earlier today (September 21).

The "Baby" singer and his "Monte Carlo" cutie girlfriend donned colorful matching polo tops as they took in the wonders of the wildlife adventure.

The trip to the local zoo comes as Justin seems to be steadfast in working towards the release of his highly-anticipated Christmas album, of which he says fans will be "shocked".

Not letting anyone get in the way of his forthcoming record, Bieber tweeted, "doubt me...i like it that way...makes me work harder...just makes me want to prove you wrong. every step ive been doubted. why change now?"
