They're all names we recognize from the 80s and 90s, and this year’s list of nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2012 has been released.
Coming up in April in Cleveland, OH, the winner from a nominees list which includes Guns N’Roses, Eric B & Rakim, Joan Jett, Heart, the Cure and the Spinners will be announced.
According to MTV, a handful of previous nominees are back again for another chance at the Hall, including the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, War, Donovan and Laura Nyro.
Music groups become eligible for the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their very first single or album. In this case, the acts all started releasing their music on or before 1986.
