Teaming up for the very first time, Julianne Hough and Russell Brand are set to co-star in an upcoming film titled “The Mandate Project.”
The “Footloose” beauty and the “Arthur” actor will begin shooting later this year, with the film marking Diablo Cody’s directorial debut.
The project - which was initially titled “Lamb of God” - focuses on a young conservative religious woman (played by Hough) who loses her faith after a plane crash.
When the confused woman arrives in Las Vegas to begin her new life, she meets an unlikely companion (played by Brand) who oddly helps her find her way back to her faith.
